Brackett House B&B Amenities
Our goal at Brackett House is to offer you a comfortable and restful home away from home while you’re visiting Mount
Vernon. To that end, we offer the following amenities standard for all guests. If you have other needs or special plans
that we can help to facilitate, please let the innkeepers know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Common Areas
Parking: there is a private parking lot behind the house with space for each of our guest rooms. There is
additional free parking on 2nd Street if needed.
Living Room: the living room offers a variety of seating areas and writing desks for guests to use at any time.
There is a large screen television, gas fireplace. Just off the living room
guests have access to a large furnished porch with views of the east end of Cornell College campus.
Dining Room: the dining room is the location for breakfast or a spot to find coffee, hot tea, water or a light snack at any time.
There is a television to catch news programs and in good weather dining can be extended out onto the furnished dining room porch.
Kitchenette: unfortunately we don’t offer an open kitchen for guests, but if you need to stash
leftovers overnight, you can make use of the facility refrigerator.
Patio and outdoor spaces: guests are encouraged to enjoy any of our outdoor spaces.
Private Bathrooms
Each room has a private bathroom with a shower furnished with a complimentary hair dryer and a selection of shower products. Towels are refreshed daily unless they are hung up or the Do Not Disturb sign is on the outside of the door. Housekeeping hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sleeping Rooms
Each of our sleeping rooms features one or two queen size pillow top beds. Linens are refreshed daily unless otherwise requested.
Each of our four rooms has room level control of heating and cooling for your comfort.
Three of our sleeping rooms have access to private, furnished porches to enjoy in warmer months. Our suite, Elisabeth, offers two sleeping rooms with a common sitting area, bath and refrigerator.
Sleeping rooms do not have televisions or coffee makers, please join us in the common areas for these amenities.
